T he American Heart Association (AHA) has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Development Director in our Sacramento Division. The Director will focus on identifying and securing new corporate business accounts to support the Heart Walk campaign through corporate cash sponsorship and/or company involvement. Candidate needs to be comfortable with B2B sales, including cold calling.
Develops and implements an active prospect list of new corporate accounts to support the mission of the AHA through cash sponsorship (starting at $5,000) and company engagement
Actively participates in the solicitation, cultivation and management of new corporate accounts and selected current accounts
Shares in the overall fiscal year net revenue goal of $1.37M for the Heart Walk campaign, through driving to AHA Best Practices
Maintains timely communication with the Executive Director and internal and external customers
Conducts approximately 10+ face to face meetings on weekly basis to drive and generate new business

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years successful experience in fundraising and/or sales
Ability to recruit, train, and manage volunteers
Knowledge of AHA’s mission and programs

Experience in closing high level corporate sponsorship
Comfortable with B2B networking and outreach including cold calls
