The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a School Fundraising Director serving Forsythe, Iredell, Catawba, Alexander, Davie, Rowan and Yadkin counties in North Carolina . The director is responsible for implementing the American Heart Association's school-based fundraising program – Kid’s Heart Challenge throughout the assigned territory.
Primary Responsibilities :
Works with school-based coordinators, to raise funds through our school based educational fundraising program
Present program at school assembly events to teach students about the American Heart Association and the Kid’s Heart Challenge program
Is the liaison between the American Heart Association and schools within the assigned territory
Responsible for achieving income and school recruitment goals through the management of existing customers and school accounts, and prospecting and cultivating new school accounts
Maintain and track all related fundraising data
Coordinates, plans and implements activities and resources necessary to achieve campaign goals and fundraising objectives in the assigned territory
Recruit volunteers to develop and manage school-wide events
Build relationships and provide support to volunteers in each school
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned geographical territory - travel within assigned territory is 90-95%
Required Qualifications and Experience:
BA or BS degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 1+ years of work experience, preferably in territory sales and/or nonprofit fundraising
Individual must reside in the territory
Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territory on a daily basis - travel within assigned territory is 90-95%
Territory management experience preferred
Ability to set and exceed aggressive dollar goals using his/her skills and abilities in customer relationship management
Proficiency with MS Office, excellent communication skills, and outstanding time and territory management
Excellent presentation skills to different audience levels
Demonstrated ability to accomplish results through strong volunteer recruitment and management
Ability to plan and work independently
Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a results-driven environment
