We are looking for an innovative and driven leader to be the National Lead, Middle Schools to manage the association’s fundraising strategy for our American Heart Challenge Middle School strategy. This leader will grow our market share in the Middle School space by developing a robust strategy and brand campaign that will appeal to school administration as well as middle school kids and their parents.
The National Lead, Middle Schools will direct our efforts nationally through campaign management and oversight, the creation and execution of the sales strategy, product and campaign development, training and consulting. In addition, the National Lead will work directly with regional and local leadership and inspire staff and volunteers across the country to ensure the we grow this important campaign for the organization.
Essential Job Duties:
Develop the playbook for success to grow our Middle School campaign (American Heart Challenge) and roll out to the field through web-based trainings and in the field consulting
Product and campaign development using design thinking practices, with a focus on fundraising technology, digital strategies, a robust online experience and incentives that drive behavior for students, teachers and parents
Working with internal partners, manage the creation of communications, promotions and marketing including social media and digital strategies
Create the best-in-class student and volunteer experience for the future
Ensure consistent execution of strategies to reduce variance of performance across markets and regions
Provide excellent campaign analysis that uses lead indicators and data to drive performance
Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and data to develop standard methodologies, priorities and focus areas
Work with internal and external partners to develop strategies to significantly increase AHA’s revenue and impact
Work directly with the field to provide direct consultation
Provide formal feedback to regional senior leadership on opportunities and challenges
Collaborate and cultivate relationships with internal departments such as Business Technology, finance, design center, purchasing, legal, branding and marketing.
Bachelor’s degree or higher
6+ years’ experience in a similar role or in a role leading a multi- million-dollar campaign with year over year growth
Proven record of success in corporate sponsorship and fundraising
Proven record of success in major gift development
Proven record of success in leading cross-functional teams
Proven record of success in leading c-suite level volunteers
Skilled in oral and written communications
Ability to get along with all levels of staff
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Strong customer service skills
Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product
Skilled in campaign oversight and reporting
Ability to travel overnight up to 30-40%
